SCWarren was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. As a school boy he strongly suspected that he could paint and create works of art but he chose not to study Fine Art. Instead, he studied Ancient Greek History; graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University.
After college, SCWarren moved to Portugal for 5 years. There he met a girl, who became his Muse. Through her influence, he began to think again about art and remembering the promise he made to himself as a schoolboy The Artist was ready to begin painting. However, family obligations pulled him back to live in the United States.
Now living in Florida, with memories of his Muse and his time spent in Portugal, SC Warren finally decided to begin. he walked into an art supply store, with a $100 bill, and walked out with some art “stuff”. He had no preconceived ideas as to what he was going to purchase, but walked out with oil paints, brushes and blank canvases. He began to paint.
After taking care of family obligation, SCWarren moved to the Cayman Islands. There Tropical Life Collection was started that year, 1992. Thus it seems, it took a Muse from Portugal to give motivation and the Caribbean venue to provide inspiration for SC Warren to discover his “bialy wick”, painting oil on canvas works of art.
